Information We Collect

Account information

When you sign up, we collect your name, email address, and password. Your password is stored as a one-way cryptographic hash — we never store it, and cannot see it, in plain text. We also record your selected time zone and, if you use it, your notification preferences.

Business and operational data you enter

MakrBee's core purpose is tracking the operational and financial details of your manufacturing business. This includes your business name, business type, and currency, plus whatever you choose to record inside the app: products, ingredients and packaging, recipes, vendors, purchases, manufacturing batches, inventory levels, and business expenses. This data belongs to you — see Your Content in our Terms of Service.

Files you upload

Product photos, expense receipts, and CSV files you upload for bulk import are stored securely and associated with your business account.

Marketplace data (when you connect a marketplace account)

If you choose to connect a third-party marketplace account (for example, Amazon) to MakrBee, we access order, product, and fee data from that marketplace only as needed to show that data inside MakrBee, and only after you've explicitly authorized the connection. You can disconnect a marketplace account at any time, which stops any further access.

Payment information

Subscription payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. We do not collect or store your full card number — Stripe handles that directly and provides us only with what's needed to manage your subscription (such as plan status and the last four digits of your card, for your own reference).

Communications

If you contact us for support, or invite a teammate to your business account, we retain that correspondence and the invitation details (including the invitee's email address) to provide the Service.

Automatically collected technical data

Like most web services, our servers automatically log standard technical information — IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, and timestamps — for security and troubleshooting. MakrBee uses a session cookie to keep you logged in. We do not currently use third-party advertising or analytics trackers.

How We Use Your Information

• To operate the Service — calculating your costs, margins, and inventory from the data you enter
• To process payments and manage your subscription
• To send transactional email (account verification, password resets, team invitations)
• To provide customer support and respond to your requests
• To maintain the security and integrity of the Service, and prevent fraud or abuse
• To improve and develop the Service

How We Store and Protect Your Information

Your data is transmitted over encrypted (HTTPS/TLS) connections and stored in a managed PostgreSQL database; uploaded files are stored in Amazon S3. Within a business account, access to your data is governed by role-based permissions — you control which teammates can view or manage financial data, inventory, purchases, and other areas. Access to production systems is limited to authorized personnel who need it to operate or support the Service.

How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only:

• With service providers who help us operate MakrBee — Stripe for payment processing, Zoho ZeptoMail for transactional email delivery, and Amazon Web Services for hosting and file storage. Each receives only what's necessary for its function.
• With marketplaces you connect — if you authorize a marketplace integration, data flows both ways only as needed for that integration.
• For legal reasons — to comply with applicable law, respond to lawful requests, or protect the rights, property, or safety of Molu, our users, or others.
• In a business transfer — if Molu is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, we'll provide notice before your information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your information for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, we delete or anonymize your personal and business data within 30 days, except where we're required to retain certain records longer (for example, payment records needed for tax or accounting purposes). You can request deletion of your account and data at any time by contacting us at the address below.

Your Choices and Rights

You can access and update most of your account and business data directly within MakrBee. You may also contact us to request a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or request that we delete it. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable law (such as the right to access, correct, delete, or port your data, or to opt out of certain uses) — contact us and we'll respond to verified requests within the time required by law.

Children's Privacy

MakrBee is a business tool intended for adults operating a manufacturing business. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13.

International Users

MakrBee is operated from, and its data is hosted in, the United States. If you use the Service from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make a material change, we'll notify account holders (for example, by email) before it takes effect. The "Effective" date above reflects the last update.
